The Bowling Green is open from late April until mid-

Members are welcome to play at any time during the season
Membership : Adults £50 per annum, Juniors (12 to 17) £5 per annum

Bowling is an activity to be enjoyed by all age groups and the Club accepts young people from the age of 12. Qualified coaching is available. The Club runs 7 teams in 5 leagues and endeavours to give all members who wish to participate the opportunity to play in competitive matches.
There are various Club competitions running throughout the season, ranging from serious
competitive matches to more light-
There is a pavilion at the bowling green with toilets and tea/coffee making facilities.

Free entrance to meetings, visitors welcome.

Meetings are held fortnightly in the Village Hall on Tuesday evenings 7:30 -
Annual membership £20. Guests welcome, £1 per meeting for a maximum of 3 meetings.
The aims of the club are:
- To welcome all persons interested in photography
- To practice and instruct each other in all branches of photography in a spirit of
friendship and cordiality by holding meetings for the interchange of ideas, through
lectures, papers, demonstrations etc., by members and non-
members - To cooperate with efforts of other Associations, Societies or Clubs formed for like purposes
- To encourage the production of photographs for display, competitions and instructional
purposes, by members or at designated times by non-

We are a friendly group of amateurs who organise the annual Pantomime. We are always on the lookout for new members of any age or ability to help with backstage, performing, scenery painting, making props, costumes etc.
The only age limit we have is that young people need to be at least 7 years old.

We research, record and preserve the history of Bishopthorpe.
We run a number of projects including a Community Archive, Oral History, the
transcription of many documents and Minutes.
Research projects are also carried out on an individual basis.
